Applications are reviewed by the AABC Grant Board and shared with the AHS Principal. Recommendations for funding are typically announced within THREE WEEKS of the application deadline unless the applicant explains the need for an early decision.
🔶 The next deadline is for 5 pm, Friday, March 8, 2024 🔶
AABC uses the following criteria to help it select which granting requests to fund. Overall, AABC seeks opportunities to fund projects outside of the regular curriculum that will benefit students. The order of this list does not reflect priority.
Projects that are academic and/or arts based.
Projects that significantly affect a larger, rather than smaller, number of AHS students.
Projects that reflect the diversity of disciplines supported by AABC.
Whether the Principal endorses the request.
▫️ Factors that the Principal will consider include safety, possible impact on AHS infrastructure, and appropriate representation of AHS in the broader community.
Projects that enhance school and student roles in the community at large.
Annual, recurring projects, and one-time-only projects are both acceptable.
All current AHS staff, faculty and students are eligible to apply for grants.
Eligible expenses should be dedicated specifically to the project and can include:
artist or contractor fees
project materials and equipment
marketing, advertising and publicity
registration fees
space rental fees
event tickets
